I just sat at the table, so UTG is a complete unknown:
Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG raises, 2 folds, Hero calls. Flop: (4.50 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero... Got a favorite line here? Do you play it different if you hold KTo? |

my default is to check-raise the flop and lead the turn, as you'll likely be called down by a lot of weaker hands. showing strength at any later points really gives a weaker hand a chance to get away I think. but of course, you can't be playing these situations the same everytime against the more observant opponents.

Have you noticed that some of the lagtards will bet through the river with absolutely nothing if you let them keep the initiative? I've gotten in the habit of check-calling against these guys and lately I think that's influenced how I play against unknowns.
