Re: 99
i'm not a big fan of raising and folding to a 3bet against a "lagtard monkey" when he could easily be overplaying something like 75s that you have a ton of outs against.

Re: 99
i don't think it's that unreasonable. it costs the same to just call him down, plus giving up the chance to river a nine is not insignificant in a 12 bb pot.

Re: 99
I don't like the raise/fold on the turn. You can showdown for the same price. He could have A7s, 75s, 88, 66 or nothing at all for that matter. For a 35 VPIP, 2.4 is pretty aggressive and I don't think you should be folding to one overcard at any point in the hand. You can always call down as a default without getting too aggressively crazy with LAGs.

He could have A7s [/ QUOTE ] exactly what I thought. Is everyone in agreement on the cap pre-flop? I'm not a big fan of it actually. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'd be happy to elaborate. MP is unknown. Assuming the worst case (he's a TAG), his 3 betting range is still large enough that 9s have a decent chance of being the best hand. I'm not too concerned about the SB's call. His 35/25 stats indicate that he would easily cap TT-AA. Our preflop equity is big enough getting 2-1 on the raise that 99 is likely to be the best hand more than 33% of the time. |
