JJ UTG+1, facing an all-in reraise and all-in call...
Level two (blinds 15-30) of an STT on Party. Full table, I have a little over 1300...
UTG folds, I raise to 120 with J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Two folds, MP (~1000) calls, two more folds. Button pushes all in for 485, SB calls all in for about 385, BB folds. Back to me - 1140 in pot, 365 to call with one to act behind me... What's my move? |

Ask for your 120 back.

I think you have to push here.
The reason I personally don't raise with jacks preflop in early position, early game (and there are many good players here who totally disagree with me) is that I hate this type of mess. Lori |

Re: JJ UTG+1, facing an all-in reraise and all-in call...
you've gotta push here. you've got too much invested already to let it go. if fold and they flip up AK and AQ you'll kick yourself, cause those are nice pot odds.
i would raise here at 15/30, but limp at 10/15, fwiw. |

[/ QUOTE ] Any thought to the caller in MP? The options at this point, in order of benefit (IMO) are fold, push, or just call. Calling is pretty much out of the question, giving the MP caller almost 4:1. A push looks good, assuming MP isn't slow-playing aces or kings. It's the SB call that sort of worries me, though, more than the button push. If the SB had folded, I'd be much more inclined to push here. Folding and pushing are pretty much at a dead heat here... Folding, I still have a very healthy stack to look for a better spot... Sort of weak tight I guess, but it seems like I could find a more sure and advantageous spot to put them in... |

You'll still have 800 or something if you get MP out successfully, I think you can afford to be wrong if it comes to the worst here.
If you had a shorter stack, folding would look more interesting. Lori |

RESULTS
As it turns out, I make one of the worst folds ever. MP caller calls the raise with AQ, Button has AK, and SB has 10-10. A jack hits the flop and I would have cruised into the money. 10-10 wins main pot, AK unimproved for the side pot...
