Re: AQo
Well, against this villain (assuming your read is relatively reliable) we can define his hand pretty well seeing as he capped preflop in a multiway pot.
AA-JJ, occasionally TT, AK and sometimes AQs. I would say JJ-KK are rare given his 3-bet on the flop because isn't overly agressive and he is out of position so he isn't trying to get to a showdown cheaply by 3-betting. The 3-bet probably means he thinks he's ahead. That means AA, AK, and the occasional AQ and TT are the most likely holdings at this point. On the river, you win an extra bet against AK (8 possible combos). You lose 2 bets against the one combination of AA. You lose two bets from the unlikely combos of TT and QQ. JJ and KK probably fold but maybe you get a bet from him if he is really bad. You also split with AQ. So given these possibilities, it looks like your raise has a little value, even if you can't fold to a river 3-bet. (I probably can't.) |

Re: AQo
once it gets heads up, i think the best course of action would be calling down UI and betting if checked to.
i raise the river as well and call a 3bet. |

Re: AQo
66/13 players often have really wierd preflop raising standards, so i think putting him on a standard 13% distribution immediately might be a mistake. nice hand, in my opinion.

Re: AQo
Why not do WA/WB until the river and call/call/raise?

Re: AQo
I like calling down better. Raise on the river is good.

What's the raise on the flop for? [/ QUOTE ] Initially I thought it was to find out where I was but now I'd much rather play the passive line and callit down. I haven't been on my A game today otherwise that is standard. IMO best line is to call call raise river. |

Re: AQo
Yeah, same. Raising seems like it'd get AKo to pop you back, fold out the stuff you beat, and alert the higher PPs that you have the Ace. I like calling down and raising the Q river.
