I actually put him on middle pair. 88 99 TT JJ were all good guesses. also he might have folded QQ,

He'd maybe even fold KK there (of course nobody would play KK like that ehheeh) but what i mean to say is that considering the way I played it preflop, it was very very hard for someone to call me witout a set.

few people push that without aces i think

oh, my table image was of tight agressive (my vpip for this session was 16)

All he was representing was a set. And I guessed he'd either raise more with one, or slow play it.

Why do you want to play a big pot OOP with AK? I know he has been pushing you around but you need to pick your spots.

Full ring, you don't comment on MP, but you're showing him no respect - perhaps with reason - in any event the pf reraise is bad OOP w AKo. Whats wrong with just calling?

Also, looks like you'll have position on your nemesis most of the time, make your stand then.

Why is a reraise so awful here? I understand that he's OOP but that still gives him first chance to bet postflop.

I just didn't like the size of the reraise. I thought making it $180 was a little too much.

When you call w/ AK, you'll miss 2/3 times (I know you guys know this)... and then when he CBs you're probably done with your hand.

If you reraise and he calls, HE'S probably the one missing 2/3 times (and not necessarily feeling comfortable if he hits a piece). Therefore, you gain a much better chance to win the now inflated pot.

As well, if he thinks you're going to make this play against him, why not do it with a great hand like AK, where if you *do* hit you might get his stack?

I'm sure you could find good more detailed stuff on playing AK if you search.

Quickly, you're not stacking someone with JJ unless you get it all in PF, because the second an A,K, or Q shows up, JJ is done with the hand here.

AKo is not a "great" hand here.

Villain doesn't have to "hit"- he hit when he was dealt a pair.

We don't like to create bloated pots OOP against good opponents when we have a drawing hand - hard to make money doing that.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the advice... I was on the middle of a rush when this hand came up. I was very sharp on my reads. And I thought he had a similar hand than the one he had, only I imagined he'd lay down after my sizable raise.

I guess it was a valid play, I still had 25% chance to win that pot after the allin was made, and there was (in my head) a 75-80% probability that he'd fold that hand on that spot. So if this was one of the times out of 4 or 5 that he'd call, my push was good. Although if my oponent would 80% of times CALL my bet, then it was bad.

All I know for certain is that I wont ever bluff this guy again
