Re: Sports bar suggestions Las Vegas
If you have never watched a sporting event in a Vegas sportsbook, you need to. However, it may be tough to find a spot with this game on. I looked it up, and this game is Oct 15, and not the season opener. Is that incorrect?
Personally, I love hockey but on October 15 it is going to compete with NCAA football and MLB playoffs. It is a late start, though, and that could help. Your best chance is probably the ESPN Zone in NYNY, or one of the larger sportsbooks, like Caesars Palace or the LV Hilton. |

Re: Sports bar suggestions Las Vegas
Yeah. It's on a Saturday....and most Americans are more interested in baseball and football which will certainly be jam-packed that day.
Although it MIGHT be okay if the hockey game is on late (western time-zone teams so I'm assuming a later start). Still...is there some sort of Canadian hang-out in Vegas?? Surely there must be some kind of gathering place where Hockey Night in canada fans get together (is this a Hockey Night in Canada game or is it just on regional Fox Sports or whatever??) I haven't been to ESPN Zone...so perhaps this would be a good option too...but I would be concerned about the baseball and football overkill. |

[/ QUOTE ] Actually he already told us he was wrong on the game. The season opener is against the Avs, and that game is on a Wednesday. That could be a big break. The baseball playoffs will be the only competition. However, the game is scheduled for TSN (Canadian sports network). OLN in the U.S. is featuring the Rangers and Flyers that night. I would assume so. Anyone know of one? |

While it's not exactly what you're looking for, a sporty place, with a bar, that's a hella lotta fun, is ESPN zone at NYNY. I highly recommend it.

Can you put in a wager at the ESPN? [/ QUOTE ] ESPN zone is located inside of NyNy, The sports book is directly outside of the door from the Zone. Takes about 5 seconds to walk there. Although NyNy's sports book is small and not the ideal place to watch a game. As for ESPN Zone, where else can you watch a ball game while sitting on the crapper or bleeding the lizard? |
