What about the river right herrr?
UTG limper is like 80/10/2, so kind of loose agressive. i'm fairly certain he'd bet the river in position if it was checked to him, regardless of what he has. First off, should I be 3betting this PF? i'm thinking yes.... Anyway, on the river I'm thinking of checking and then calling one bet (maybe overcall, not sure) and obviously folding if it's 2 to me. Or is this a good value bet? My read is that by checking ill get UTG to bet, and i can fold if the PF raisers raises the river, and if i'm raised or c/r i'm beat and shouldn't bother calling. Thoughts?

Re: What about the river right herrr?
Well played sir. Preflop call is best because UTG isn't folding. If, however, sb has a huge raising range (maybe PFR is 30+, I would go ahead and 3bet for value). Having the option to confront utg with 2 in a spot like this is valuable.
Postflop is pretty standard. River bet is great. If sb had AK/KQ he'd often bet the river rather than going for a checkraise because a lot of opponents are going to be scared of that K. UTG is paying off with anything so you don't need to worry about him. SB will also pay off with 7-99 a lot and sometimes AQ/AJ hands. Often even if he has something like KJ he won't raise anyway. |
