Just started playing 6 max so I'm not sure if this was a good play or not. I'm playing at Prima so I'm not going to write out the whole HH as I'm only concerned with my preflop here. ($2/4 btw)
5 players UTG limps, CO folds, button raises Button has a pf raise of 12.33% and I'm in small blind with KJos. I reraise to try to get BB and perhaps UTG to fold. Was this a good reraise or should I have just called original raise or folded? Also, are the general guidelines for 6max as far as VPIP,PFR%,&AF posted somewhere? Thanks. |

I fold KJo. I call with KJs. I'm not raising either OOP against a raiser who is *not* stealing and another guy who is probably coming along regardless of what I do.
If the limper weren't there both of these would be automatic 3-bets. |

I would be more likely to just call here. If your hand hits you are often going to have the best of it and if you miss you'll often want to check/fold. It puts you in a pretty good position where you can lead a favorable flop (hoping for the button to raise the field) or check/raise a tough flop. Getting heads up with a 12% pfr isn't something you necessarily want, but your hand is too strong to just fold preflop.

What do you mean by a tough flop? If I flopped top pair wouldn't I try for the check raise against this guy (he was pretty aggresive postflop too)? When would I want to lead here instead of going for the check/raise? |

I would plan to go for a check/raise on a flop like J87 2 suited flop. I would lead on a QT or KJ flop.

OK, that makes sense. In this paricular hand flop came with a K so I went with the c/raise.
