HU Strategy (AKA I think i got owned)
Today I played against a new type of opponent. This is HU 10/20 AP
For the first 50-100 hands or so i got completely owned. after that i adapted made most of what i lost to him back--but I'm not sure if I was using the right strategy. I want to know how you would approach a guy like this. If I raised the button (which is SB on AP) he would call and donk the flop every time. If I raised his donk, he would either 3bet or call and donk the turn. This was his basic "out of position" strategy. He'd then either check/fold the turn if he didn't think he could win or bet all 3 streets. In position, he'd complete the SB every time. If I donked, he'd either fold or raise my bet. If he raised, he would bet every street. If I ever checked to him, he'd bet. He'd cap every draw or any monster. He didn't slowplay at all. He'd randomly raise a bad flop for me and I caught him buffing with crap on many occasions. Seems simple but really for the first 50-100 hands I was just confused. How do you approach a guy like this? |
