Default What VPIP do you play comfortably at?

My VPIP is at 32.42 and I play comfortably at it. But I am starting to think that maybe it is to high and if I tightened up a lil, I would see improved performance in my game. I'm trying to get a gauge of what some of your VPIPs are and compare em. Also what do you think about your VPIP? Do you feel you play to tight or loose? How would you like to see your VPIP numbers change and why?

You need to tell me what hands you are limping behind a loose limper with pretty loose blinds or whatever you are doing getting your overall vpip that high with your fold bb to steal. I know i'm too tight on the button with 28.5% vpip but i'm working on it.

Ya. What are some of your hand ranges and stuff for playing at a loose table that is weak?

I dont know, crap like T9o and 97s and stuff I guess. Although I dont think my vpip comes from overlimping very much cause my pfr is 24.

edit-my vpip on the button specifically is 32 and pfr is 30. So im not overlimping that much.

this is interesting.

on absolute poker i play on average 4.21 handed and my vpip is 33.27/23.09

on party i play 5.04 handed and my vpip is 24/17

should 1 player make that much of a difference? i feel very comfortable playing my style on absolute. so should i be playing more hands on party? it's really odd either way, because im owning bitches on absolute but i feel like the opposite is true on party (i.e. im getting completely owned on a regular basis)

You got any more stats we could look at from when you are playing on Absolute vs. Party? Make break up a database into the two sites?

That would be interesting to see why that is.

Go to the position tab on pokertracker and track your VPIP across the sites based on position. Compare your button VPIP/PFR on Party and Absolute, then cutoff, etc. This will give you a little bit of a truer picture on the difference between your two playing styles across the two sites.

I'm at ~24%, and I'm happy there. My PFR is 18. I wouldn't know where to loosen up if I wanted to.
