Default Blind Defense

5-10 6max 3way,

I'm Dealt 109o in the bb

Preflop:

button raises, sb folds,i call.

Flop: 5J9 Rainbow

i c/r he calls

Turn: J completing rainbow

i bet he calls

River: 5

i c/r

I c/r the river to gain much more value from solitary ace high which i think will pay off hu a large percentage of the time. Or is this just far to laggy?

river check-raise no good. you gotta think he thinks you wont pay him off without a or better, but he will pay you off if you bet with even k high... calling all the way down he wont fold the river to one bet unless 22,33,44 in which case your play is perfect.
Villain will fold everything you beat to cr and what if he three bets you cant really fold.

So just bet the damn thing and dont get tricky.

This is my point hes gonna call the c/r with ace high which his most likely hand to be calling down with, so via c/ring i'm gonna get an extra bb of the ace,

If he folds thats no great shakes as ive already gained the bet i would get by betting. Also against weaker opposition i have the possibility of getting AA-QQ (unlikely i know but possible).

And if i'm 3 bet its an easy fold as theres no possible hand i'm beating except a bluff, which isnt likely to happen after i c/red him.

I quite like it

It's a strange metagame you must play in where this ace high bet he made is taken as totally normal by you.

Villian will probably not bet ACE HIGH here. HE'll take a free showdown.

If he's stupid enough to bet ace high the majority of the time here this is fine.

He would have to be very stupid to do that.

What they said! Very few people would ever bet with A hi here. The type that does plays back at you a lot more than this villain did.

Only an exceptionally bad player will pay you off with Ace high any number of times after you've c/r twice, bet all the way.
