Flop play is good. Preflop play is atrocious. Raise to like $4 or something.

To 4$? Wasnt that a tad to much at 50NL? I mostly raised 2$ with AK, and used 4$ AA/KK/QQ

If you raise the same with all your holdings you will be much less easy to play against. If you raise to a given amount in a given situation with AK, you should raise the same with KK or 67s.
The size of your raise is not atrocious. It's a pot sized raise. I don't mind it. EDIT: Oh wait, you are not OP. Sorry The first paragraph is for you then. The second is for emil3000. |

He raised to $2. The converter messes up raises from the blinds. I agree that a small overbet might be better, but pot sized is hardly atrocious. I think $4 is excessive though.

When you open 3xBB is fine. When you raise from the blinds after 2 limpers you need to cut down on their implied, especially since you're out of position the rest of the hand. They can call here and be correct to do so with all limping hands. (aside from ajoff and such maybe).

Anyone have any thoughts about my all in here? This situation just came up for me again, and I went all in with my AKs flush draw. I got called by a guy who flopped two pair, though I hit my flush. Does this sort of all in make any sense? Or am I just lucky on these two hands?

You're only afraid of a set, and you want to get money in on the flop while you're still a favorite. It can be problematic if you play only big draws this way, as opponents tend to notice 5x overbets and may start playing correctly against you. |
