Default Natural Born Killers / Oliver Stone

This is, by far, the most convoluted, over-directed, pompous piece of garbage that I have ever watched. Oliver Stone simply sucks at his job. The "scoial commentary" element is pathetic as well.

Maybe he's gotten better in the past 12 years?

Tarantino wrote it. He said in an interview that he refused to see it because Stone was directing it.

Tarantino wrote a script, then it was sold and the Stone camp pretty much rewrote it. Very little of what Tarantino wrote actually made it to the screen.

Correct. The original Tarantino idea was to keep the killers anonymous. When Stone changed this, Quentin got p'oed. When Downey gets shot in the hand there was supposed to originally be a camera shot fly in through the wound. Stone didn't use it, Tarantino used it in a later film.

Easily deserved awards at least for the innovative use of film, video, animation, etc. I am serious. You didn't get it, drag. Go rent Boogeyman.

I really don't feel like whipping out my intellectual penis and comparing sizes but you have no clue as to what you are talking about.

All the "deep" and "important" themes that Stone wishes he could convey are sucked into his pathetic attempt at a movie that ends up being the definition of trying to hard.

Nothing in the movie is fluid, nothing meaningful. No important or shocking social commentary exists.

"Wow Oliver, we are a culture obsessed with violence, televsion, and the media? No [censored], Sherlock."

The "innovations" that you blindly laud do absolutely nothing to give the viewer a deeper understanding of the film or its characters. They are forced and a waste.

Alright, but this is the first time you've seen the movie?

Why the hell would you watch it three times then? Once was enough for me, although I saw a bit of it on cable the other night… changed the channel.
