Default Currently chip leader in stars 20+2

I'm getting nervous in my possible biggest pay day yet... 1st out of 45 right now. My previous largest was 600.

Please come watch if you can! Getting hit with the deck but I think I'm still playing well...

Thanks if anyone is interested!

Brad

Thinking about your "possible biggest pay day yet" with 45 players left is counterproductive and can be disastrous (unless 44th is your biggest pay day yet).

Keep doing what you've been doing, one hand at a time and don't get ahead of yourself.

A big reason why I hate these early sweat threads, they generally only hurt the players that post them as well as clutter things up.

I guess maybe that's right, but I didn't play worse once i posted it, everyone else did and I got screwed. But I guess it happens. Still sucked.

Here is the history with my main villain, who really took me out of hte tourney.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t6000 (8 handed) converter

SB (t46808)
BB (t87797)
UTG (t83524)
UTG+1 (t28740)
Hero (t88271)
MP2 (t74078)
CO (t128528)
LuckyVillian (t43311)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG raises to t24000, 4 folds, LuckyVillian raises to t43011, 2 folds, UTG calls t19011.

Flop: (t87822) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (t87822) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: (t87822) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t87822

Results in white below:
UTG has Ac Jc (high card, ace).
LuckyVillian has Ks Qc (one pair, queens).
Outcome: LuckyVillian wins t87822.

And then my lovely hand... perhaps I shouldn't be opening with A-4, but.... I did have a 22% rate of seeing flops if anyone was paying attention.

UTG (t74781)

MP2 (t63120)
Hero (t72371)
Button (t68978)
SB (t190428)
LuckyVillian (t69822)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
4 folds, Hero raises to t17000, 2 folds, LuckyVillian calls t11000.

Flop: (t30100) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (t137693) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t137693) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t137693

LuckyVillian has Js Kh (one pair, kings).
Hero has 4h Ad (one pair, fours).
Outcome: LuckyVillian wins t135144. Hero wins t2549.

And there we have it. A nice return on 20 bucks still, (183.60) but still a bummer. Thanks for those assisting me.

IMHO, this is not how you want to play against this kind of villain. Bad players get good cards too, so you shouldn't try and force things with A4o when you pair your four.
