Share your experiences with illegal immigrants
Here are mine.
They work their ASSES off, and for very cheap. (I live in Indiana, I'm curious to hear from those near the border) Anyone else? |

Re: Share your experiences with illegal immigrants
When I went to Miami, the lady behind the Gas Station counter couldn't tell me where the Dr. Pepper was, because she couldn't understand me.

[/ QUOTE ] I've had that same problem; I'll order something from the local fast food place and get the wrong thing because the person taking orders doesn't really speak english :-p Edit: granted, I do have a little bit of an accent myself due to a disability, which is why I never make an issue of it |

Re: Share your experiences with illegal immigrants
I've lived in Los Angeles for over 15 years. I can't think of a day where I did NOT have an interaction with an illegal immigrant. 2+2 doesn't have the server space to fully reply to your post.
Generally speaking: I think they work about as hard as any other group of people. I see very hard workers, and I see very lazy loafers. I personally have nothing against them, and I would have made the trek here illegally myself if I were one of them. I can't see the rationale for punishing them directly for the poor policy we set up that allowed them to get here. However, I do think we need to change our policy radically, and we need to do it as soon as possible. -ptmusic |

In fact, I've never met a lazy legal immigrant who had a family to support back in Central/South America. If American's worked as hard as these people did, we'd be amazed at what was accomplished. |
