Default 2/4 trying out this LAG thing

party 2/4 NL 6 max

i usually play ring games, but a lot of the time they are filled with nits, so i tried out some 6 max.

UTG has 288 behind, hero has him covered.

UTG limps, hero raises to 17 in the UTG+1 with K9h, folded to UTG who calls.

flop 8s 7h 3h
UTG checks, hero bets 30, UTG min raises, hero pushes.

I hate to say this, but "it depends" on what you know about UTG. I swear it often seems like against an unknown player, you should fear a min-checkraise more than you should fear a regularly sized check-raise.

Hopefully he wasn't min raising a set. Otherwise, you're good.

I don't think this fits the profile of LAG.

Raising a limper UTG+1 with K9s doesn't look pretty LAG to you?

I wouldn't call it standard at 6 max. If the money is sufficiently deep and you are clearly superior to your opponents post flop it's EV neutral.

pushing 2 overs and flush draw doesn't qualify

How deep would you consider sufficient?

Don't know about that. Many of these (bad) players call with TPTK, even on a board like this one.

And why we aren't we good if he calls with TPTK?

I really shouldn't post so much at work. Harder to see the fact that he's drawing to the flush. My bad.
