Default Taxes on Gambling in Italy

do you get taxed on gambling winnings in Italy? For instanc would a pro poker player have to pay taxes if he played poker and derived an income if he lived in Italy?

Looking for a sweet place to play poker with no taxes, are we? Well, may not be as cool as Italy (though to me it is), but I do know the UK is tax-free on gambling winnings. Of course, tack in the exchange rate at the moment and I don't know exactly how much good that does you.

If gas is $6 a gallon the the dollar really is struggling. Try $2.50. Yeah everything is more expensive, but if your gambling and living tax free it can't be too bad!!

I'm not saying it's better than the US. I grew up in the US and do love this country. But I've lived and worked in the UK, and despite travelling other parts of Europe (read: Italy), the UK is where I'd choose to live in Europe.
