Ive been playing in a micro-limit no limit game (25-50 cent blind) for six months, and i am growing tired of playing against a game where half the table is there strictly to get a laugh out of calling all raises with hands like 2-9 o/s in order to amuse themselves when they draw out on big hands. I am not a losing player in these games, but even walking away with a victory feels like i just had oral surgery to do it. Does anyone know any websites or other avenues I can explore to find local games(not tourneys) so I can hopefully find other poor players like myself who want to play poker, and not card roulette? Any help is appreciated

I prefer people who play card roulette, as long they're fun to talk to.

Yeah, maybe you should read a few poker books or something...
Loose calls = easy money. Learn how to beat this game. |

The way he describes this game sounds like Party Poker PlayMoney tables, and we all know how valuable those are in an aspiring player's poker education. Also the way he describes looking for new people so coldly, I hope these aren't his friends. "Friends acting out of line. Must find new group of friends." |

If only there were a way one could play poker on a computer. Oh well. That pipe-dream will happen when we're like all connected or something!

If only there were a way one could play poker on a computer. Oh well. That pipe-dream will happen when we're like all connected or something! [/ QUOTE ] That would be terrible! Casinos would shut down, Vegas would become obsolete! Poker would become the realm of nerds with computer programs and strange slang terms for everything! People would no longer be able to lace together a string of obscenities when bad beat, but rather be content with typing "How did you call with that $hit. You D.ick, go F..uck ureself." |

I play in a game every friday night after the bar closes in my neighborhood. (Friday being my day off from real poker) The players are terrible half of them are just there because they are to drunk to drive home and the other half have to be taught how to play the game. When a fight doesnt break out over a 5 dollar buy in it is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Relax loosen up these are not the types of games to learn how to play poker in. I always seem to wake up the next day with more money than when I went out which is always fun too.
