Default We are at a crossroads

I leave for college tomorrow. I am entering a $38 DS for the WCOOP ME right now.

If I lose, I will be a college student with $2550 to his name, playing $11 SNG's.

If I win, I will double my bankroll and take out $500 to win more tourney dollers through the shootous and more. And I can catapult myself somewhere.

So, umm, yeah. Wish me luck

Good luck. Even if you lose, if it makes you feel better, when I left for college 2 years ago I had about $2500 to my name and didn't even know online poker existed. Then in January of my freshman year I started playing $11 sngs, so your story sounds pretty familiar.

GOOD LUCK

I'm a dual-income, no kids, double-dipping weekend warrior so my situation's a little different....but WE ALL want to hit the big one!

INSANE CALL!

4 handed. Clayton is on button. Raises 3x to 450. BB calls.

Flop K-10-5 rainbow. BB pushes. Clayton calls with A - 6o...and it holds against BB's JQ

I decided once he calls that unless the flop sucked, I was going to call with ace high. Villain only pushed hands (ie never played postflop nearly at all), but was good in using positional strategy and attacking on weakness.

He had coldcalled me like 3 or 4 times previous and folded to a CB, and when the 4th time came around I told myself "okay, he probably wants to establish himself more and get higher in chips and send a message to me, so he'll prob stopngo with 2 cards."

flop came KTx, that flop sucked. And he pushed. SHAT. But my mind said call, so I did. Hoorah.

Good luck Clayton.

Just a question--with your bankroll, why can't you play the 20's (or higher)? From what I've seen of your play, you would be a solid winner at higher levels.
