$5 stars rebuy
After having done pretty well for the first 2 hours, this hand comes up:
Blinds are 300/600 I'm UTG with a stack of 14k, avg about 16k. 1010 comes my way and I raise to 1500, which had been my standard raise. Folds to the BB who calls(he has only been at the table for a few hands). BB has me covered by about 8k. Flop comes out 8d 9d Qc. BB checks. What should my line be from here? |

Re: $5 stars rebuy
First off, I would raise more Preflop, say 2200, to better define villan's hand.
Without a read, you have to give him a wide range, which includes AA-77, AK, AQ, AJ, AT, KQ, KJ, KT, QJ, JT, T9, 98, 87, 76. Obviously, hands with a T are more unlikely than others given your holding. You have some equity here, but with 2 cards in the playing zone and a two flush on the board, I would say it is somewhat likely that you are behind or at least up against a big draw or 2 overs. On the other hand, he could be defending with any two, and he has shown no agression so far by calling and checking. I would bet ~2000 and fold to a reraise or if he just calls shut it down and hope for a J on the turn or a free/cheap showdown. Another line would be to check for the free card, but that seems pretty weak at this stage. |

Re: $5 stars rebuy
I would have raised to 2400, 1500 is just not a big enough raise to do much (2.5BBs).
On this flop with 3300 in the pot, a check, and a 2 flush, and str8t possibilities I would bet 1800 here, and if he comes over the top big then I would fold. If he calls and cheks the turn as well, I might be tempted to see the river for free. I would call a reasonable bet on river. |

Re: $5 stars rebuy
I'd make a 3/4 pot bet or so, but then again I'm bad...
I'd probably fold to a raise, but usually I think he is going away at this point. |

Re: $5 stars rebuy
I guess I just played this hand poorly at every possible opportunity. While the 2.5x raise had been working great previously, the hand I held was vunerable to so much and I should have raised it more pre-flop to help define the hands of any callers.
