Should I have folded the flop? If I would have put him on anything better than me it wouldve been a higher pair or 99.. He was playing pretty good before. |

[/ QUOTE ] First YES, secondly you think he is good. thats your read? You sir should not be playing 10/20. im sorry if you get offended. But you will save money by me telling you the truth. If your read is the he is good and you werent tilting, then you have no excuse for playing it this badly. |

[/ QUOTE ] lol, I was thinking the same thing, but as long as he came to 2+2 for help, he deserved the help [/ QUOTE ] And i Gave him a good advice. I still dont think if he has this player as good, that he should be playing 10/20. why not play 3/6 or 5/10. study hard and when you are up to it play 10/20. Maybe i was a little harsch, Im sorry for that. But denying that this was one of the worst hands i have seen, wouldn't help freeran. But my apologies to you freeran. if you got offended. You might be a great player but from this post it seems like you have alot to learn, then 10/20 is not a good place to be. |

You just committed a 180BB stack on a single pair hand post flop. To me that seems a little bit of an odd move.
I think I would have raised the flop a lot higher (after your call there was ~$600 in there). Raise about the pot or not at all. If this gets called by anyone I'm done unless the turn brings a J. Alternatively call the $100, see how many get to the turn and play from there. |

OHHH, I just remembered a saying, when playing NL, with one pair, on a paired board, play a SMALL pot. Calling the flop would be a fine play. Then see how turn goes.

You got totally carried away here and played it atrociously. Don't worry, most of us have done something similar in the past.
As someone else said, just call the flop, or make it $600 and give up if called. You are beating absolutely nothing on the turn/river, even 78 hit. |
