Hello All,
I am heading to AC in a week. The group i'm going with is staying at Ceasars. Are there any poker rooms near by???

The Taj Mahal and the Tropicana both have poker rooms. The Taj is nicer and larger. Bally's has a room too but I think it's all stud.

Taj
Hold 'Em: 2-4, 3-6, 5-10, 10-20, 15-30, 20-40, Higher on weekends
Stud: 1-3/1-5, 5-10, 10-20, 15-30, 20-40, 30-60, Higher (much) weekends

Trop
Hold Em: 2-4, 4-8, 7.50-15, 10-20-30 (weekends)
Stud: 1-3/1-5, 5-10, 5-10-15 (sometimes), 15-30-45 (sometimes)

Enjoy, both rooms are fun. Taj is the bigger room with more tables and action. Trop is also fun but has more of a clubbish, quieter atmosphere.

Actually Caesars is in the middle of the Broadwalk between the Taj and the Trop. If you go to Bally's you dont have to venture outside...

Caesars 2nd Floor --> Take stairs down to Wild Wild West (Go see the donkey) then head up the stairs take a right --> walkway to Bally's (poker room is on the 6th floor behind the race book)

Nothing is too far in AC. There are free busses known as "Jitneys" that take you to the different casinos (though I don't know the schedules) but if you have a car it is less than a 10 minute drive. Also, cabs in the city have an $8 max fare within AC so a cab ride is a cheap and easy way to move around.

The Jitneys are $1.50 per ride.

And I don't know about the maximum fare, but the minimum taxi fare is $6, which is annoying if you're just going from one casino to another.

If you are going from Taj to Trop (like I do), 8 bucks is a good deal esp. if u hve a friend or two with you. I don't know about any minimum but if the casinos are that close u can walk on the boardwalk. I'm not a big fan of wandering the streets of AC with a gambling roll in my wallet.
