30-60 Flopped Nuts ... CAP IT
Anyone HATE this line? for those of you that don't know ranja is 90/10/0.77 over a bazillion hands, he loves to cap it out of nowhere with some random stuff. moon is 71/12/1.2 and is a station , other guy in hand seems decent
my logic is that overcalls here have more value than raising, blowing out the 2 guys drawing slim and then getting 3 bet by a flush... i think by not raising i picked up 2 extra bets from 2 overcallers which is about the same number of bets i think i get by raising the turn ***** Hand History for Game 2481667281 ***** $30/$60 Texas Hold'em - Friday, August 05, 10:27:25 EDT 2005 Table Table 48936 (Real Money) Seat 10 is the button Total number of players : 10 Seat 1: az123004 ( $812.83 ) Seat 2: jollyroger11 ( $2036.86 ) Seat 4: moonrockbar ( $999.40 ) Seat 5: ranja700 ( $5965.65 ) Seat 7: RubelRollski ( $2118.46 ) Seat 10: Hero ( $1403.50 ) Seat 6: amitsvc ( $2280 ) Seat 3: midga624 ( $2161.65 ) Seat 8: BINGO168 ( $321 ) Seat 9: BJVJMB12 ( $2135 ) BJVJMB12: AA no good az123004 posts small blind [$15]. jollyroger11 is sitting out. midga624 posts big blind [$30]. ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Hero [ Ah Js ] moonrockbar calls [$30]. ranja700 calls [$30]. amitsvc folds. Re: 30-60 Flopped Nuts ... CAP IT
I don't see much reason not to cap the flop, particularly with the station behind you.
Turn play is really excellent in my opinion, particularly with the nut redraw. River I think is much closer between raising and looking for overcalls. I probably favor a raise because I assume at least one of the turn callers will drop, and since I have the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in my hand I'm a little less worried about getting three-bet. Edit: Ship this pot immediately... sup lj. |

you make a good point, i did'nt really consider getting 3 bet by a flush cus i have the ace of trump... but ranja will 3 bet ANY flush here

Re: 30-60 Flopped Nuts ... CAP IT
Most people here will probably tell you to cap it... I think capping the flop is fine, but calling the turn is generally the best play. In this case you know your opponent "ranja" is capable of raising with anything, but normally you're looking at a made flush on the turn.. why pay for your own draw? If you raise here, you probably kick out anyone still drawing to the flush or straight if yours is still good, and can only be re-raised by a better hand.

Re: 30-60 Flopped Nuts ... CAP IT
The problem with calling with the absolute nuts is you miss out on the chances to jam the pot with a second-nut hand. This spot doesn't look completely aweful to call, but for the above reason I would at least raise the river.
