The raise on 4th is ok, but I think you have to fold to a reraise.

You want him to fold when he's getting over 7:1 on his call?

I could be wrong, but isn't he getting 6.5:1? (Isn't there 32.5 in the pot?)

You're right though, the numbers give him the odds to call if villian has a pair of 6s. My concern is that since hero raised on the 9, villian holds better than 6s. I would suspect TT or JJ.

The real reason I like a fold is that unless he hits a 3 or Q 5th is a fold. 5 cards help and 37 don't. That doesn't lay proper odds for me.

Default Hello,Ryno! Y are U raising with...

a pair of 3's in this small 5/10 ante game. At BEST,4th is a check/call
Now U insist on continuing to play on 5th with NO improvement when the bet doubles.Y would U want to do that?
Let the BIG KIDS splash their money around at the 15/30 and higher games. These higher limit games require them to struggle for the ante's. However,in 5/10 game and 10/20 --assuming 10% of the small bet ante---one doesnt't have to struggle for the ante. U will usually obtain enough action when u have a good/very good hand to overcome those small ante's that you've sacrificed. So let the BIG KIDS play their game and U play ur VALUE game. Otherwise,U will be re-buying frequently with UR playing style.

On third, you have a dead six limping in front of an A, K & Q. He either has AA in the hole or is taking a chance. (semi dead flush draw, low straight draw) I'd probably call a bet or 2 to see where my hand went versus his.

Why can't the limper have Jacks or Tens in the hole? Or Deuces for that matter? I don't think that your typical $5/10 player looks behind him and thinks, "gee, there are over-cards behind me; perhaps I should fold." I think he looks down and says, "cool, a pair; I call."

Especially in a low ante game, there really is no reason for you to voluntarily put money in the pot with your puny pair and dead kickers. Even if you have the best hand now, it is pretty likely that you will be second-best when all the cards are out.

You succeeded in making the pot big enough that you almost had to check and call fifth. When he has you beaten on board on sixth, that's definitely checkout time.

Default Result

He flashed KK in the hole (nice call Ray).

Once he reraised 4th I thought I had odds to call to 6th unimproved. Sounds like you agree with that, Andy. But the point is well taken about playing on in the first place - it is something I've struggled with coming from mostly shorthanded limit HE play.
