Hand at micro-limit O8.
I'm brand new to Hi-Lo Omaha, but I do have Bob Ciaffone's Omaha Holdem Poker. Any thoughts on the play of this hand is appreciated. No reads except that the table is very loose.
Party Poker (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Seven players take the flop, including the small blind. I check. Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (8 players) Pot: 8 small bets. It's checked to UTG, who bets all players but one in middle position call. Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (7 players) Pot: 7.5 big bets. UTG bets again, and this time another middle position player drops, in addition to the small blind. I call, closing the action. River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players) Pot: 12.5 big bets. I check, hoping to check-raise UTG and the field with the nut low. Final Pot: 12.5 big bets. Thoughts?? |

Re: Hand at micro-limit O8.
I like a preflop raise. You're in great shape with a suited A2 8-handed.
I normally checkraise a good low flop with this many opponents, but on this board you don't have enough to raise. The river is gin, and a checkraise is certainly correct 5-handed. UTG has at least a five, most lows will call behind him, etc. |
