Default Another early level KK with an Ace high flop

Well, my options post-flop were push, check/call, or check/fold, and I didn't like any of them. What would you have done?

If you aren't going to go all-in preflop (which I definitely would at an 11) you have to go all-in on that flop I think. It's too risky to check, as once I give up the lead in this hand, I can't call a bet from him.

I'd just raise to 200 preflop for just this reason. At an 11 dollar SNG some donk has an ace and isn't letting it go.

I probably just check/fold and find a better spot.

I don't like this. I'd much rather push preflop than raise less.

This is pretty awful advice. All the more reason NOT to raise to only 200 if some donk is going to come in with his Ax. Make him pay the maximum amount to call with that junk. Or, worst case scanario, you really don't mind if everyone folds here and your stack increases from 16BB to 19.5BB.

Is check/call really a good option? I'm not asking rhetorically, I'm genuinely unsure.

I really don't think there's any other way to play this. Actually, I change my mind... you could have pushed PF, but that may be because I saw the results. But there's 175 in the pot already. I think you have to to 300-350 here (especially since your hand is vulnerable to anyone holding an A). And since we don't raise that much of our stack without shoving it all in (unless you are baiting calls), then I think this is a push PF.

What do other people think of this?
