Generally a good fold with JJ or too weak?
I am fairly new at the table when this hand occurs. The way I see it I make the worst mistake by not reraising a good amount pre-flop. The small bet into the PF-raiser scares me, making me think he has 33/66/77 or perhaps 67 since he limped and the called the raise. However, I decide to checkraise and let go of the hand if called. That is exactly what happends, and therefore I check-fold the turn and Carl shows me that he was making an...interesting...play with 79o...Know that Carl was a fish calling that checkraise with 79, I would have bet the turn, however I did not have any read on him when the hand was played. Any opinions/suggestions?

Re: Generally a good fold with JJ or too weak?
before i saw the results i thought he had A7. he probably put you on overcards. i'd call this easy. no aggression PF means he probably doesn't have an overpair to your jacks...

Re: Generally a good fold with JJ or too weak?
Yup, was sure he didn't have QQ-AA, that's not too hard to figure out. But ruling out 33/66/77/67 is a little bit more difficult. What made me sucpicious though is that he went all-in pretty damn fast on my check, usually a sign of weakness which has made me regret not calling there. But its always easy to say that when you have the results, would have felt damn stupid if he had turned over trips..

Re: Generally a good fold with JJ or too weak?
I just saw almost this exact hand at my table.
flop is 4-handed Q 6 3, some betting and all-ins, someone shows KK, other one shows 45 and turn is 7. So to be short: at $25NL, you just don't know. This is probably a break-even call. It looks like a lot of dead money, so that's good for you. |

Re: Generally a good fold with JJ or too weak?
This was at 100$ NL though, at 25 I'd call immideately..however, after this hand I'm starting to think that 100$ NL isnt that different if you play against the right players...
