Default I had my first poker dream, and wouldn\'t you know it...

it was a bad beat.

Short story is I get dealt two red 3s, flop comes 3-6-3. I push all in and get one caller who shows pocket 9s. He hits runner-runner and I wake up.

After a year and a half of playing, this is my first poker dream. Has anyone else been similarly afflicted? (note, I suffered no bad beats in my three hours of play last night)

Yes, clearly if you flop quad 3's in the next week or two, you should fold.

Nope, just one table of stud/8 and the rest were hold'em. A fun exercise although I've come far too close to calling with 23o on my hold'em tables.

I play in a live game this weekend so if I do flap quad 3s, I guarantee I'll be folding them, +EV be damned.

My first poker dream involved hitting the BBJ after reading a thread about how high it was in the zoo then going to bed.

I felt like a total tool when I woke up. Dreaming about Poker is one thing, but dreaming about hitting the Party BBJ is just lame.

I dreamed once I was playing with my girlfriend and she was dealing me bad cards only on purpose but they were winning anyway cuz the board was treating me good and I was like yelling and laughing at her "I'm winning anyway!"

I'm sure a physcologist could have a field day with that.

During a stretch where I've been playing online a lot I sometimes have poker dreams. I'm always up like $40k or so playing some big stakes NL game. I play primarily shorthanded limit in real life though... I dunno

The last poker dream I had, and I have them quite frequently, involved me playing 6 card stud (no idea where this game came from) with TJ Cloutier at a 3 handed online table and having him fold 3 pair to my 6 card straight.
