Who is Malaniuk on Paradise?
Been playing some 40/80 on dise lately and see Malaniuk there all the time. He seems to never lose and hits tons of draws. Does anyone know who he is? Is he really that good?

[ QUOTE ] fyp. Because we all know, being a master of holdem makes your draws come in more often. [/ QUOTE ] That statement is more true than you think. [/ QUOTE ] Agreed 100%. This is because the best players intimate their opponents into giving them free cards (it could be he's betting and you're failing to raise). Given enough free cards, he'll hit what seems like longshots a lot. Now you may say that he's costing himself a lot of money by betting with shitty draws. But it's made up for by all those times that his bets steal the pot (or his shitty hand is actually better than his opponent's shittier hand, and his taking the initiative means HE doesn't get bluffed out.) As an aside, I often find it amusing when I hear some relatively inexperienced player talk about how 'bad' someone plays by pointing out a hand that is 'misplayed' but that he got lucky on. Almost always, these inexperienced players completely fail to take into account the whole 'gestalt' of another player's game. |

Yes he is. I've been outplayed by him more times than I'd like to comment on.
