I based my decision on which one had the most subscribers / least likely to go bankrupt and make my equipment useless. So I have XM and generally like it. Have never listened to Sirius so can't help you there.

They've got just over 100,000 now. Sirius stock is considered "over extended" by Wall Street which may explain why it's hovering around 6-8 dollars / share while XM has gone from 6 to over 35 dollars /share. This looks like Beta vs VHS all over again with Sirius as Beta. |
