Default Auto Shufflers at Mirage

Just got back from the Mirage (as well as a few other rooms). The game my wife was in (3-6 hold'em) had an automated shuffler.

On my way out, I asked how many tables were they on?

Just two for now. One hold'em & one stud. I know Boulder Station already has some sort of a shuffler, thought I'd mention the Mirage update for ya.

Best of Luck

Howard

I believe the Monte Carlo is going to do this to in the near future.

In LA, Hollywood Park has installed a few on some of their Omaha tables. I would guesstimate that they're getting in an additional 6 - 8 hands/hour with them. (Maybe more, if you consider the fact that they're changing decks every hand, which eliminates the constant griping to "Change the deck, Dealer!")

More hands = more better.

amen to getting rid of the "change the deck" morons.

What do they do about the "new setup" morons?

They should change the decks every hour or 1/2 hour with the new dealer. This way they can eliminate the set-up. What a waste of time it is.

This isn't going to stop players from asking for new set-ups.

They stared using them recently where I play, in Temecula, CA. Love 'em (except when they break)!

Default Autoshufflers: Pros & Cons

Anyone have pro's and con's for auto shufflers?

I never personally seen one but couldn't that lead to the deck being stacked or not shuffled properly or enough?

Just wondering.

maybe backwards mississippi will catch on soon. im sure that would increase the hands per hour significantly especially late at nite when sometimes you get dealers that my friends and i coined "true grinds" b/c they move so slow and make so many mistakes i can go get a burger and not miss a hand.
