Re: Bubble Play
IMO, this is the type of hand you wanna push with, not call a push with.

Re: Bubble Play
Muck.
UTG limper and a push in front, you're at best a coinflip, and easily dominated by AK, QQ, KK, or AA. Plus, you don't want to have to show down the best hand anyway. Also, there is a good chance that enzocup busts if mfahey calls. Next hand, shortstack DaBull takes the blinds and stealing from him will be much easier. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yea, I think the UTG limper is the best sign that this is not your hand. The fact that you call after a limper and a push tells me that you overestimate the value of AQ. I'm sure Mr. Phil Ivey would express his hatred for this hand. |

Re: Bubble Play
Say it's 4 handed and you have AK. You most likely have the best hand, but you still don't want to have to see 5 cards. AK vs two undercards is still only a 65/35 favorite, and you don't want to risk your tournament on those odds, when instead if you bet big enough preflop you can take down the blinds, which is a significant addition to your stack.
Similarly here, even though AQ might be the best hand, you don't want to have to see 5 cards because you don't have a significant edge to exploit. So, folding is a good option because even if the pusher has 23o, he has a 35% chance of winning and knocking you out. Pushing the next hand is far more profitable. |
