Default Best line with KQ...

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (8 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

I have no reads for Villian, which is to bad. I've seen him showdown 2 hands A6o and AJo both were A high and were no good.

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP1 calls, Hero raises, 4 folds, MP1 calls.

Flop: (5.50 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 raises, Hero..?

What is my line here? 3-bet the flop or call and pop the turn? Explain.

You've got it heads up and you're going to win this hand just about every time, so you're not worried about being drawn out on.

So I see two ways to play this, depending on MP1. If you're sure he'll bet the turn when checked to, then call the flop and check-raise the turn. This wins you an extra SB than if you 3-bet and he calls down from there.

If you're not sure, 3-bet the flop and lead all the way. You win less than a successful check-raise, but you win more than a whiffed check-raise.

Well, he is 1st to act, so I can't CR.

So, 3 bet the flop and bet/raise the turn?

Woops. Very true. Well, you got the gist of it. Slow down on the flop and stick it to him on the turn. Since you have position this is a much better line, there's no chance of it being checked through. Give him a chance to lead into you when he is probably drawing close to dead.

If we lead the turn and he raises again, I may start to question myself and see monsters under the bed. The weak/tight in me would be screaming to just call and then check/call or bet/call a raise on the river.

The proper line however is probably call the flop, raise the turn and bet the river. I am a pansy though and that scares me...someone hold me.

That would have to be a pretty big bed...I'm pretty sure MHIG.
My thought was that if I just called the flop, he would check the turn and fold to a bet if he has nothing. I'm hoping he does have a QT, QJ..etc. and we can go to war.

As I said, it's the weak tight in me and the fact that I have been on a downswing lately where I will show a monster and someone else will devour it I have to force myself to get out of that scared thought process though.
