Default What effect would an Ivey/Matusow Final Table have on internet poker?

Just saw a quick snippet of the WSOP on Sportscenter (basically saying Raymer, Ivey, and Matusow all still alive). Ivey and Matusow were both decked out in Full Tilt gear. This post isn't really talking about whether or not internet poker as a whole will grow, rather how much will the make-up of the top sites change. Obviously, having Moneymaker and Raymer helped Stars immensely. How big of an impact would two Full Tilt endorsers have on Full Tilt. Would that site become a major player by default? My personal opinion, is that yes, Full Tilt would become a major player, likely third in the industry. They probably wouldn't have the clout just yet to surpass Party or Stars, but I could see them third in market share. And I also think there will still be a lot of shuffling among the top sites before the poker boom ends.

Thoughts?

I haven't been watching any of the coverage on TV. I know that PokerStars and FullTit have a presence, but is Party anywhers to be seen? As far as I know, Party isn't sponsoring any players.

Party has obviously been the most successful site, and if they aren't sponsoring players, then maybe player sponsorship does not affect where people play. Maybe the most effective way to get players is just advertising in general. But, I agree that it will be interesting to see after the WSOP airs (in November?) the effect the sponsorship of big-name players has on FullTilt.

Because Party management and employees are infallible.

I had the pleasure of knocking Matusow out of a WSOP event. I did not even know who it was until he had left and the table congratulated me and told me who it was. What I did know about him at the table is that he was a rude abrasive ass hole that abused dealers and other players. There is no place for him at the top and if he wins it will be a dark day. It will be a shame if there end up being wanna bes like him, it will certainly hurt poker.

As far as Full Tilt sponsoring him they must only care about people making it, not the quality of person the player is who is wearing their gear.

Default Impact on B&M poker..

I predict a lot of young, baseball cap & sunglass wearing white a$$holes who can't keep their mouths shut at the tables getting the snot kicked out of them in casino parking lots by the influx of new black players.

And rightfully so, I might add...

Pack (rooting for anyone but Matusow)

I deal poker. This should be happening already but if this is what it takes to make it happen "Go Matusow"

Although it's unscrupulous to think this, I hope FT doesn't win simply because Ivey/Matusow winning would indirectly promote possibly the worst bonus structure in the business.
