You left out the chain salons, like Great Clips or Cost Cutters. I go to Great Clips, pay twelve bucks and it usually comes out looking nice enough that my wife doesn't require me to wear a ball cap in public.

ive cut my own hair for about 4-5 years now. havent been to a barber in that long. i dont do it to save money i just really hate how the hair people never get it right. its always too short or too long or something. over the 5 years of cutting my hair ive gotten it down really well now with the blending and layering and such. only problem is its hard for me to shave my neckhair.

[/ QUOTE ] i think he's referring to clippers. i do the same thing. i shave my head using electric clippers with no guard. i 'can' shave my neck, but i always miss areas and that sort of thing and it's better to just have my gf do touchups on it.
