Cripple Creek, CO + Denver
Im thinking about moving to COlorado Springs, can someone tell me where the best action is in the Cripple Creek and Denver areas? Hold'em 5/10, 20/20, No-Limit, and Tourneys?
I tried to do some research online, and it looks like there are about 15 casinos in the Cripple Creek area, but couldnt find out any detailed information. Any advice would be appreciated . |

Re: Cripple Creek, CO + Denver
If you want anything in those limits you'll have to play in a homegame. Not sure of the action in home games in the Springs but in Denver there are several games. In the casinos you will find either 2/5 spreadlimit or a 5/5 game. State law has a $5 max bet in all games.

Re: Cripple Creek, CO + Denver
yeah. I played in these on a trip. Brutal. The 5/5 refers to $5 bets, but you can raise 5x rather than 3. Even that game is pretty loose.

Re: Cripple Creek, CO + Denver
The $5 doesn't apply to tournaments. I don't go up there much, but the highest entry I have seen is $200, and it's pretty uncommon.
Do NOT move to Colorado for the live Poker. It is a joke. If you're moving to Colorado, do it for the skiing and the mountains, and make sure that you have a good Internet connection for poker. |
