I hate O/8 (short rant)
Dealing O/8 has to be one of the most unpleasant tasks known to man. I almost kicked one of the weekend warriors in the nuts tonight.* He almost ruined my night, but I didn't let that happen.
Rant over. * juanez kicks folks in the nuts in cardrooms under license from Al Capone Jr. |

Re: I hate O/8 (short rant)
Players point of view: 1. Many O8 players are morons - this makes the game unpleasant, But the profit makes up for it. 2. O8 is a very difficult game to deal and unfortunately most casinos seem to put their worst/inexperienced dealers on the game- which drives the players nuts. Who can enjoy a game where you might see 20 hands in an hour and you only play 4 or 5?
I haven't sat at one of your games - but since you post here the assumption is you are a smarter/better dealer than 99% of your compatriots- I'll assume you are very good at your job and just say thank you from all the frustrated O8 players. As to kicking the player - just sit back and one of the other players may beat you to it. |

Damn, I must be missing something (well, either that or you must be on a nice run). Last time I sat at a live 3/6 omaha8 table, I didn't play a single hand outside of the blinds. I got blinded out. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

Re: I hate O/8 (short rant)
I played the 10/20 split O8/stud8 last night and I have to say those players were the most annoying I've ever met. A bunch of old timers who thought they knew better than the dealer/floor person on what should be done in any situation. One time and player declared "well it should be a misdeal" and chucked in his cards and all his buddies followed suit, all because a player who hadn't posted recieved cards. One player became very abusive to the floor if they didn't filll a vacant seat 2 seconds after someone got up. He didn't care she was busy getting players for a different game at the time.
