Final 3...A9 in SB
This is my home game I play in every Fri. $50 buy in, 2 max re-buys. I've invested $100..3rd pays $130, 2nd pays $390, 1st pays $780. Down to the final 3. I'm the chip leader with 55k.
Blinds at 4k/8k (Table tightened up alot on the bubble) This game usually ends around the 1k/2k or 2k/4k level. Button folds, I get A9 in the SB..BB has 35k in chips..My play? I have a loose table image and went from 4th to 1st in chips when it got 4 handed by picking up alot of uncontested pots. I finally got called when I pushed 9-10 and got called by A-Q in the SB only to catch a 10 and bust him on the bubble. |

Re: Final 3...A9 in SB
I'd triple the bet here.

Re: Final 3...A9 in SB
An easy push. You only have 7xbb and he only has 4.5xbb. A9 crushes a random hand. If he folds, nice pickup. If he calls, that's good too.

Re: Final 3...A9 in SB
Easy push. If you make a standard raise and he reraises you're almost forced to call anyway, so just stick 'em all in.

Re: Final 3...A9 in SB
Change the blind structure at the higher levels.
1K/2K 1.5K/3K 2K/4K 3K/6K Player who wins 2 hands in a row probably wins tournament. |
