Trips, but drawing.
.10/.20 NLHE home game. It's late in the night, and despite the small blinds, $1-2 is the typical come-in bet.
4 players. Hero has KK. UTG folds. Button calls. Hero raises to $5. BB calls. Button calls. Flop: KJT rainbow. Button goes all-in for $16. I think. Button is loose/passive. BB behind me is a new player (to the game of poker) and looks ready to fold. I mull it over and think this: I assume BB will fold. He's giving off some signs that way. I put the Button on JJ or JT. I know if I'm wrong I'm still about 5:1 to fill up or hit quads, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. I call. BB calls (!). Turn: rag. I go all-in for my remaining $20. BB calls. River: rag. I didn't fill up. Comments on all streets? |

Re: Trips, but drawing.
You're really really in the wrong forum. First, this is a limit forum. Second, this forum covers limits starting at 2/4.

Re: Trips, but drawing.
My mistake. Interesting that the forum lists "x-stakes hold-em" and "x-stakes no- and pot-limit hold-em", as if Limit is "regular" poker and NL is special.

[ QUOTE ] you played it fine [/ QUOTE ] Why is he raising to 25xBB preflop? [/ QUOTE ] because they call. sometimes in the commerce 2/3 NL game i will raise 15xbb preflop, if they will call. |
