I'd just bet the flop. You don't have any idea that anyone will bet.

I agree. I think you should lead this flop. It's pretty raggy, after all.

either bet the flop or check/fold.

in a large pot, checking the flop is not playing aggressive. betting to fold every J,Q,A you can is. reevaluate on the turn after the smoke clears.

what if MP1 had bet after you checked? now what? what if it got checked through? now your attempt to c/r LP bet has backfired and you've given all overcards and smaller pocket pairs infinite odds on you.

hey...i could be wrong. but i think the best way to attempt to thin the field as well as bet for value is by betting out.

Yep, I guess you are right. I should have bet the flop.

What if your fairly sure someone in LP will bet? They were quite aggressive sometimes. I just decided to take a chance. I read somewhere that if you can't protect your hand by betting you must sometimes just take a risk and go for a c/r.

OK. I bet and get raised. What now?
I bet and everybody calla. What now when turn comes?

Play poker. (probably you will call the raise and fold the turn)

You have to bet these flops. You were the preflop raiser and you don't know what will happen if you check. Also, when you have AK you bet this flop so why make it obvious you have something goofy here by changing what you would normally do. There are spots to not bet after leading preflop but I find very few of them (fewer than most which is a mistake at times I'm sure) but this is an easy straightforward one to fire away.

it's like asking the owl how many licks it takes to the center of the tootsie pop. "i guess we'll never know"

seriously, i have no idea. once the 2nd overcard comes on the turn, probably check/fold but i really couldn't tell you the BEST line honestly, i usually fire again, but i'm trying to cut back on unnecessary aggression/spewing

I think the reason that a couple of players are suggesting to bet the flop, is because you cant rely on anyone else betting, and you dont want to give a free card to anyone with an overcard to your TT.
