Poker in Aruba?
x-posted in B&M, but very interested in this forum's O8 input.
I'll be heading to Aruba in just over a month, and would love to get as much info as possible about the poker rooms down there. I'll be staying at Marriott's Aruba Ocean Club, and I'm pretty sure they don't have poker there, but from what I hear there are some nearby casino's that do. I'd love to get my hands on a good Omaha8 game and probably a couple NLHE SnG's. Not sure what's available or for what stakes. Any info/web links would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Poker in Aruba?
I believe the age requirement varies by casino, but it is usually 18. No idea about the UB event - might want to look on their website

Re: Poker in Aruba?
You only need to be 18 to play in Aruba, however, I think you need to be 21 for the UB event.

Holiday Inn is the place u shd stay there. They have 7 card stud most times in the late afternoon onwards. Its 1-5.
The HE game starts about 5pm till 12pm. Tony a chinese fella is the best player hes prob in the top 100 in the world. (Hes placed in top 15 in the WPT Aruba NLHE competition). Everyone else is fish maybe 1 other strong player in the game. I know cos I averaged $600US in 2 evenings of play ($5/10). Good luck Unfortunately there is no O8 being played (Up to Oct 2004) |
