it's summertime, and i'm taking a shot at playing 25 or so a day to see if i'm competent. what ROI should i be aiming for, if i'm hoping to move up in a couple of months?
thanks... |

You should be aiming for 400%+ because I assume you would want to win every tournament. A good number to settle for would be 20%.

so if i were at 20% after 500 or so, i might reasonably consider myself ready to play 20+2's?

10s and 20s aren't much different. If anything, I have found the stars 10s to be harder because of the cheaper and more careful players that lurk around at these lower limits. The 20s are looser and you get more from your good hands.

thanks for the replies, fellows. one more question (besides why isn't there a faq here?): so if 20's are about the same as 10's, what sort of bankroll do you suggest for a 20% ROI player at these levels? 50 buyins?

50 buy ins is fine if you are a 20% ROI especially if you are willing to drop down if you are in a rough streak...
