I am embarrassed to say that I often play this the same way. The turn is the trickiest, you probably have 7 outs (I think a strong ace like AQ or AK 3-bets you pf, and KQ waits until the turn to raise, so I think all of your Ace-outs are clean) and you're getting 5:1 on the turn call. With your implied odds, plus the chance that something like JT or a random ace gives up on the turn if he misses . . . it's not a horrible horrible turn call.
So I guess we both suck. EDIT: Against a non-nut I don't call the river unless I'm playing kind of sucky, or want to make a statement that I Will Not Be Bluffed. Only thing I crack is JTo, AT, or AJ. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'm not embarrassed are we check-folding a river J though? one big reason I MIGHT fold is because there aren't that many scare cards that can come that can expose a river bet as a likely bluff. if the board was say JTxx and you had K9, the river is an A, you check and he bets, well you're against a bluff a lot of the time there as a naked J or T is checking there a lot of the time. on this board, nothing can really come to make a K check through |

I probably fold if a jack hits, but I have to think about it a little more. |
