Party 20/40: Calling down the turn check/raise.
BB and UTG are relative unknowns. About the most I can conclude is that they're loose pre flop and lean towards passivity.
Party 20/40 (6 handed) Preflop: Jeff is CO with As, Th. UTG calls, 1 fold, Jeff raises, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG calls. Flop: (6.50 SB) Jh, 3d, 2d (3 players) BB checks, UTG checks, Jeff bets, BB calls, UTG calls. Turn: (4.75 BB) Ah (3 players) BB checks, UTG checks, Jeff bets, BB calls, UTG raises, Jeff calls, BB calls. River: (10.75 BB) Qs (3 players) BB checks, UTG bets, Jeff calls. |

I usually fold here. I tend to give field checkraises a lot of respect, unless I have seen them make a move before. Not to mention you raised preflop as well.

I think you have to call down.

I definately call this one down. I can see this checkraise being a raw ace or hearts+pair enough for sure. Also, you have 9 outs against A2 and 6 outs against A3.

Re: Party 20/40: Calling down the turn check/raise.
Most players are "usually" a lot less apt to put a move on the preflop raiser when an ace is on board. Im kind of torn b/c I think you have enough outs enough of the time to call the turn, but that in turn will probably obligate you to call a river bet which I doubt you are winning 8-10% of the time whatever it is you need. Anyone fold the river after UTG fires into both callers again?

If you call the checkraise on
the turn, I believe you are highly committed to call the river as well. Must, even. |

Re: Party 20/40: Calling down the turn check/raise.
the fact that BB is in the hand makes me lean toward folding. villain's turn CR trapping a guy in the middle seems to mean a monster usually, much more monsterly than if he was CRing you HU, and i think he has you beat here more than 7/8ths of the time. i dont like calling to try to spike a ten or jack against A3 and A2 because: 1) you are often up against a set or AJ; and 2) the 10d and Jd may not be clean because BB could possibly be on a flush draw.
