No reads.
Loose table.

Bodog .5/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
EP1 folds, EP2 calls, 2 folds, Hero Raises, MP3 cold calls, 3 folds, BB calls, EP2 calls.

Flop: (8.5 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, EP2 checks, Hero bets, MP3 calls, BB check raises, EP2 calls, Hero calls, MP3 calls.

Turn: (7.85 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB bets, EP2 calls, Hero folds

I am getting nearly 10:1 pot odds.
Drawing to 2 overcards and discounting for the flush draw, I have 4 outs.
I need 10.75:1 for this.
Also, if he has a 4 I'm drawing dead.

Thoughts?

I also make this fold. pot odds are slighty lower than what we need for our overcards and that pair on board devalues our hand a bit I think.

Why would he checkraise the flop with a 4?

I call.

OK, this must be a serious leak in my game because two long time posters ain't gona fold and I pretty much always will.

I am not afraid he has 4, more likely jack. AJ,KJ,QJ and JTs are also possible. We have six outs and if we discount the flush cardsm we have four which is about 11-1 shot. If he has AJ or KJ, we have two outs (discounting the flush card).

We are getting 10-1. is this enough?
what am I missing?

I'm folding this one. Whit 4 players on board and BB check/raising we are probably behind so I would give us something like 2 outs to win and 10:1 is not enough to draw on that.

Even though it's a loose table, it seems like a good fold. Especially with EP2's Turn call, it looks you're possibly up against someone with pkt J's for the boat.

I think your fold was correct.

I think BB must have had a better hand than a draw or top pair on the flop to check-raise the PF raiser, who could easily have had an overpair to the J.

I suspect that BB had 44 or 55 or possibly 2 pair on the flop and that you were way behind when he bet on the turn.

Also your implied pot odds were probably worse than 10:1 on the turn, because you had to consider that BB would bet again on the river. Even if EP2 called again, then you would have been receiving 12:2 or 6:1 if you were planning to call the river bet plus the turn bet.
