Default Good play, or not?

SB is 50% VPIP over 40 hands, and ... well, in the blinds.

It seems I'm getting a LOT of practice lately with overcards that completely miss the flop.

I don't like raising pf here, I think I would fold this

Edit: sorry misread the turn play

I think if I don't bet the turn, I am folding on the river

Folding preflop = terrible.

Bet the turn.

I would fold the K on the river. I'd call an A.

Since SB called the flop I figured something must have hit. So I was playing off the weak 'OMG he's got a pair' that popped into my head.

Plus as connected as it was, I didn't think I'd fold a loosie with any kind of draw.

On the turn I would have bet if a Q or K dropped.

KO

Since you put him on having hitting something on the flop, why still call the river? Unless in the weird case his 7s got counterfeited

Because the 2 pair on the board made it a very low chance that he hit something on the board. And the only thing left besides the 2 pair is counterfeited.

And I thought I had a good chance of having a better kicker to the board than him.

KO

P.S. Plus even though I get the weak MUTB syndrome, doesn't mean I always listen to it.

ahhhh so it's more a matter of

what is the chance he has X given that X is on the board...I've always had a problem with this conditionaly probability :P

Loose players will often call a huge range of hands on this flop. He'd call with a middle ranked lone [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] hoping for the backdoor, a J/6 for a gutshot, maybe Qx for the backdoor/overcard, two [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]s looking for the backdoor, an ace hoping to hit the turn, etc.

For this reason I will drop a follow up bet there on the turn. If he raises, I fold. If he calls, I check the river through. If he calls and bets the river, I fold.
