Re: QQ flops AK4 heads-up
I would cap pre-flop, other than that I think it looks good.

Re: QQ flops AK4 heads-up
I would cap the flop, then go to WA/WB line.

Re: QQ flops AK4 heads-up
Hero is in position, duder. It's kind of hard to check/call when you're the second to act. The "in position" equivalent is to bet if checked to, call if bet into, and maybe find a raise on the turn or river depending on how much you like your hand. That's what hero did here, until he got check/raised.
I hate folding QQ HU, but here it sure looks like you're beaten. I don't think JJ is bluffing this board often enough to warrant a call. Oh, cap preflop. |

Re: QQ flops AK4 heads-up
(assuming you mean cap preflop)
WA/WB line is call/call/bet+fold to a raise? |

Re: QQ flops AK4 heads-up
For WA/WB, you bet the river (to prevent you opponent checking through when he is way behind). Deciding to fold or call a river raise is read dependent.

I would cap the flop, then go to WA/WB line. [/ QUOTE ] This is spewing. What does a tight player 3 bet that we are ahead of? I can think of 2, maybe 3 hands: JJ TT 99. Nice hand. Easy, easy fold to the turn raise. He likely has AA, KK or AK here. |

Re: QQ flops AK4 heads-up
looks fine to me. I am not sure if capping preflop is a good idea. As you said, BB is tight preflop, plus, it's already HU.

Re: QQ flops AK4 heads-up
Cap this preflop.
Flop is no good for your QQ, but I like your play here. He didn't c/r on the flop. BB is tight, but maybe he was just itching to play, maybe not. I check behind on this turn when given the chance to see the river. If you're willing to spend a BB, why not call one bet to you on the river if bet into there? Maybe get a free showdown here, maybe not. |

Re: QQ flops AK4 heads-up
i'd likely cap preflop and play the hand as you did.
if for some reason i really wanted to go to showdown i'd check the turn and check-call the river. but the pot is relatively small so i don't really feel the need to get to showdown. |
