Fold to the flop raise. [/ QUOTE ] why are we folding to this flop raise? is it because villian has a 0.5 aggression? what would your default be against an unknown player? |

Re: 1010 v fish
Yea you can fold this to the flop raise... if you're ahead he is check/folding the turn, and if you're behind he'll pop you again like he did.
So its + 1 SB if you are ahead (not likely), or -1 BB if behind |

Re: 1010 v fish
UI Mid pairs are right ****s to play. I've dragged some good pots with them, and I've looked like a right eeejit as well.
PFR - OK, I'd consider limping to keep the pot size small, since you might well be a long way behind unless UTG was limping a small pair to try and get a lot of callers and set up. Also, you're out of position and very likely to have overcard(s) on the flop. Limping also gives you a wider range of plausible hands you can represent later. I'm really not sure what the point of the three bet on the flop is. Check fold is a little weak (although there are times for weakness), having to bet fold annoys me, and is weak in its own way. I would have considered check call, check raise if I thought Villain would buy it. But I use that play when I flop a monster (particularly a set with no good draws on board) as well. |
