What do you guys do after a string of bad beats?
What a stressful game this is. Was doing okay today only to have the days winnings wiped out on a single table. I was getting beaten up so bad I think my losses actually encouraged people to stay in to outdraw me even more. I wanted to hit the caps lock and scream at the entire table (I never do this but damn) What do you guys do to keep level headed when you sit there and watch every hand you play get cracked?

Giving you action on good hands? It's not their fault they're hitting their hands. If you feel this way, quit the session immediately and take a long walk. You're in no mental shape at this point to beat the game when this feeling comes over you. No matter how good the game is. b |

[/ QUOTE ] yup. don't play when you're angry. if necessary then play at a lower limit where you can just let the beats roll off you and the money doesn't mean quite as much to you. bad-beats will happen. sometimes they come in bunches. |

Re: What do you guys do after a string of bad beats?
If I let the emotions get the best out of me, I like to play a little game with my keyboard.
I pull the keyboard a little closer to me so that the edge is hanging off the side of my desk, but enough of it is on the desk so it doesn't slide off. Then I smack the underside of it as hard as I can and count how many flips it can do. My record is one and a half. (I really need to upgrade to that wireless...) |

I close all my tables, go through my entire AIM buddy list and ask people how they're doing. Then I turn Winamp off to get focused and head back to the tables.
