honestly, I dont care either way. 3 bet for value, or just call because you excellent relative position postflop.

I voted 3bet and was about to explain to Alobar why he was wrong, but the more I think about it the more I like just calling. I can't tell if that's because it really is a bit better, or I'm just a skirt.

Question: say you just call and the flop comes J9x rainbow. What's your play? Ditto for a flop of AJx rainbow.

is their a heart on board on either one, cuz that makes a differenace.

Hand 1 it looks tempting to bet so the PFR will raise, but thinking about it, it doesnt do anything for you, cuz no one folds anything you want them to fold. Check/call in both of them cuz you've got the odds. Tho hand 1 if there is a heart on board, and its bet and everyone calls, I might c/r because I can come up with enough outs that its for value.

check-call closing the action sans the flush draw. what does betting into the PFR with K high accomplish?

edit: alobar donked my location idea.

Well, check call or even check raise would be ideal, yes. I was thinking more along the lines of UTG bets, player behind raises, hero faces two cold with a gutshot and BD flush. There's nothing I hate more than cold calling bets, it gives me the willies, so that was about the worst scenerio I could come up with off the top of my head against just calling the PFR.

Although maybe that's such a specific/it depends scenario its not worth worrying about. Just thinking out loud here.

should we be betting the flop in these hands if we 3-bet PF?

It shouldnt, its still just a question of odds. If they are in your favor, call. If they aren't fold. doesnt matter if its calling one bet, or 4 cold. You just have to take into account the possible hands out, and discount your hand accordingly.
